Armond Philmon

Armond Royce Philmon, 84, of Sweeny, passed from this life on Friday, April 24, 2020. He was born on September 1, 1935 in Silsbee, Texas to Armoulia and Vada (Umfrid) Philmon.

A private family graveside will be held at Sweeny Cemetery.

Armond is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Jo” Philmon; sons, Darrel Shane Philmon and wife, Kerry Allen Philmon, Karl Dean Philmon and wife, Billy Joe Hayes and wife, Harlen Eugene Hayes and wife, and Donald Everett-Arbaugh Blackwell and wife; daughters, Karen Joyce Steiner and Michelle Angela Dunnavent; brother, Jim Arthur Philmon and wife; sisters, Wanda Sue Downs and Shirley Anne Cooley and husband; along with 29 grandchildren, 25, great-grandchildren, and his 8 chihuahuas, golden retriever, 4 cats, and squirrel which he loved so much.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Vada Verina Umfrid; father, Armoulia Philmon; sister, Nancy Lee Cookson; brother, Larry Philmon; and daughter, Kathryn Suzanne Walters.
