Arvin Cameron Smith, born Arvin Mae Cameron on April 23, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, TX, peacefully passed away on May 12, 2024 in Lake Jackson, TX. She was a dedicated operator for the Brazoria Phone Company for many years, leaving a mark through her hard work and commitment.
Arvin's proudest accomplishments included her love for music as enjoyed playing the piano. She also took great pride in studying to become spiritual director at her church parish. Her daughters fondly remember her as an "Amazing seamstress," highlighting her creative talents and kind spirit.
Arvin is preceded in death by her parents Evelyn (Hildebrand) and William Berry Cameron, as well as her beloved husband William Smith, with whom she shared 65 beautiful years until his passing this past December.
She is survived by her daughters Sherril Ramirez and her husband Gilbert of Brazoria and Beverly Irwin of Bay City. Arvin leaves behind a legacy through her 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A Graveside Service to honor Arvin Cameron Smith's life will be held on May 15, 2024, at Brazoria Cemetery, located at 113 Tennis St, Brazoria, TX 77422. The service will commence at 2:00 PM with final arrangements culminating at 2:30 PM.
