Barbara Barak

October 27, 1932 — November 26, 2016

Barbara Barak, 84, of East Columbia, passed away Saturday morning, November 26th. Her family and friends were at her side when she went to be with the Lord. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend and will be missed by all. Barbara was a long-standing member of Bethel Presbyterian Church of East Columbia where she served on Session as an Elder many times and taught Sunday School. Barbara will be missed by all her Bethel Family. Beyond Barbara's Bethel Family, she loved and cherished her own family, her "fur-babies" (Penny and Ginger) and a love for flower gardening.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Clarence Adolf Larison and Mabel Alice Denton; her husband Johnny Barak, Sr; and a son Roger Dale Wood.

She is survived by her brother Bill Larison and wife Rutha of Stockdale, Texas; brother Charles Larison and wife Dorothy of Clarksville, Arkansas; and a sister Sally Cates of Brazoria, Texas. She also leaves her daughter Reba Dean and husband Vernon of North Zulch, Texas; daughter Valarie Sanders and husband Thomas of Lake Jackson, Texas; and son Johnny Barak, Jr. and wife Patricia of Damon, Texas. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on December 10th at 1:00 PM at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 119 County Road 300G, East Columbia, Texas.
