Bernadette had a heart to serve people. Bernadette was a beautician/barber at several local places in Rosenberg, before opening her own shop in Needville, TX -The Cuttin Post on main street. There were many times she would go to the nursing homes to cut the residents’ hair at no charge.

Bernadette drove a school bus for Needville ISD for a few years before she was forced to retire due to her heath condition.

Bernadette never met a stranger. Bernadette loved people and sharing the love of Jesus with others. Bernadette loved to fish, ride around on the golf cart, go to the beach, and have gatherings just to visit with family and friends. Bernadette’s pride and joy were her boys and grandchildren. Bernadette wanted all the cousins to know one another the way we did when we grew up. She would host monthly cousin sleep overs and planned fun activities for them to enjoy.

Although Bernadette’s life was cut short here on earth, cancer didn’t win. Jesus won! Jesus paid our price long ago. Cancer stayed on this earth. Bernadette is in heaven, whole and rejoicing in the loving arms of our savior. Bernadette will be greatly missed.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Gulf Coast Ford and all that contributed to the benefit that helped us bring Bernadette home for the last weeks of her life. Without the love, prayers and support of everyone involved, it would not have been possible.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
