Funeral Services for Betty June Hodges will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home, 634 S Columbia Dr., West Columbia, Texas 77486 with Bro. Paul Kucera Officiating. Burial will follow at Old Columbia Cemetery – West Columbia.

Public Visitation will be on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Baker Funeral Home Chapel.

Betty June Hodges, age 90, of West Columbia, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, surrounded by family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a beloved friend to many.

Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Clarke Hodges; daughter, Patti Denise Hodges; father, William (Elbert) O’Berry; mother, Mary O’Berry Price; stepfather, Robert Price; sisters, Joyce Frankeny and Jeanie Gay.

Betty is survived by her sons, Berry Hodges, and wife Ceci; Gregory Hodges, and wife Rhonda; and Larry Hodges. Her grandchildren, Chip Hodges, and wife Hollie; Gregory Hodges II, Amanda Reichert and husband, Geno; Kelly McCauley and husband Brent; Lauren Hodges, Christina Banker and husband Jermey; Brittany Hodges and Travis Hodges along with her 12 great grandchildren and other extended family.

Betty was born on March 30,1935 in Largo, Florida in her grandmother’s bedroom, she later moved to Velasco, Texas when she was six years old. She attended Velasco elementary and junior high, and she graduated from Brazosport High school in 1953. She married her husband, Bobby Hodges in December of 1953 and they were married for 47 years until Bobby passed away in 2000. She worked for Garrison Phone company for 10 years, 1st Capital Bank for 13 years, then went to work for Texas Parks and Wildlife where she worked until she retired in March 2000 and loved to volunteer her time at Varner Hogg State Park and Columbia Historical Museum.

Betty was a devoted Christian who loved singing in the choir at Bethal Presbyterian Church in East Columbia. She loved spending her time with her sons and daughters-in-law, going to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in sports, playing cards or dominoes. She was a part of the Red Hat Ladies club and enjoyed game nights with friends every week.

Betty’s family would like to thank Dr. Dalal and the wonderful caregivers at the Sodalis Assisted Living home. They took great care of Betty and were very kind to her, her sons and family and friends that visited her.

Pallbearers include Chip Hodges, Gregory Hodges II, Brittany Hodges, Travis Hodges, Miken Arnold, Brad Sinor and Bryce Friedrich.
