Betty Joyce Meredith, born on August 4th, 1933, in Sweeny, TX, passed away at the age of 91 on April 24th, 2025.
Betty was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord, faithfully reading her bible daily. At Brazoria First Assembly, she devoted many years serving as the church secretary and teaching Missionettes, helping young girls grow in their faith. One of her proudest moments was being crowned a Missionettes Honor Star, recognizing her dedication and commitment to her faith from a young age.
Betty had a passion for traveling and proudly visited 48 states over the years. One of her greatest joys was visiting Disney World, where she made 19 trips with friends and family. Later in life, Betty loved working puzzles and even dedicated two rooms in her home for them.
Betty remained active well into her later years, attending exercise classes with her instructor, Heidi, until her late eighties. Her friends were particularly impressed that Betty could still hold a plank at that age.
She dearly loved her cat Smokey, who was her faithful companion.
Proceeding Betty in death are her parents, Jim and Mary Warren, her husband Crafton, and three sisters, Louise, Lucille and Patty. She leaves behind her son and two daughters, David Meredith and wife Janet of Allen, Joyce Shelton and husband Chuck of Brazoria and Ruth Brown and husband Lee of Brazoria.
She has nine grandchildren, Ronnie Meredith, Christine Loizeaux, Connor Meredith (Caroline), Shannon Greenwood (Caleb), Chuck Shelton (Angie), Beth Coker, Ashley Guffey (Josh), Laura Morton (Tim), Wade Brown (Heather) and seventeen great grandchildren.
Betty will be remembered for her love of family, her faith and her kind heart.
