Billie Sue earned her nickname Ybone at an early age when she announced that she could spell her name and proceeded to spell it YBONE. Her other nickname was Bear Grip which was earned due to her lack of strength in her hands. She couldn’t spank us when we were young because she couldn’t hold on to the paddle although dad handled that chore rather well when he got home from work.
Billie Sue had a passion for crocheting. She made blankets for all of her kids and grandkids as well as crocheting several table clothes 7 foot in diameter. She made several “bed dolls” and donated them to the Wild Peach VFD for their annual fundraiser.
