Bonnye Raye Kersh died Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Brazoria Texas. Bonnye was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Corpus Christi Texas to Grady and Margie Whitley.

 Bonnye graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1958. She then attended Durham Business College in Victoria Texas. She married Dean Kersh December 19, 1959, in The First United Methodist Church in Hallettsville Texas. Bonnye and Dean moved to Houston, and she worked as a secretary for RD McDonald in downtown Houston. In 1967 they became permanent residents in Brazoria Texas, where Bonnye and Dean opened a small hamburger and shake shop later known as Dean-O’s along with many other businesses over the years.

Preceded in death by her parents. Bonnye is survived by her husband, Dean and her three children Kathy Kersh of Brazoria, Kim Graf and husband Phillip of Vernon and Kendra Aucoin and husband Wade of Brazoria. She is the loving Gran to Valerie and husband Matt Gammon, Kendall and wife Christen Kersh, Lance Graf, Kelsey Graf, Maci Aucoin, and Tori Aucoin, along with five great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Peggy Whitley of Clear Lake and Maye and Mel Moncrief of Austin Texas.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday October 5^th from 5-7 p.m. at

C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr.  West Columbia, TX.  Her funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday October 6^th at the funeral home with Joshua Bynum officiating.  Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Geiger Cemetery Sublime, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church in Brazoria Texas.
