Obituary

Cannin Lee Keefer, affectionately known as "Red" and "Cannin Ball," passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 21.

Cannin was a young man with an inquisitive mind and a unique perspective on the world. He had a gift for finding interest in almost anything and was known for collecting random facts, hobbies, and ideas that often sparked conversation and laughter. His curiosity about the world around him was one of the qualities that made him so memorable.

A lover of life, friends and music, Cannin found joy in exploring new interests and experiences. He was working through a temporary employment position while considering what path he wanted to pursue next in life. Though he was still discovering where his journey would lead, those who loved him knew he possessed a thoughtful spirit and a mind that was always searching for answers.

Cannin is survived by his mother, Stacey Powell; his bonus dad, Cliff Powell; his father, David Keefer; his sisters, Selah Powell and Jessa Powell and brother Taylor Dent; along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Though his life was far too short, Cannin leaves behind countless memories and an enduring impact on the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his curious nature, his love of music, and the individuality that made him uniquely himself.

The family asks that Cannin be remembered not for the circumstances of his passing, but for the life he lived, the love he shared, and the memories he leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held at C.T. Baker and Sons Funeral Home is West Columbia on June 16, 2026 at 2:00PM.
