Carol Hood

Carol Hood, 74, of Brazoria, Tx., passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at her residence. She was born October 30, 1947, in Raceland, Louisiana to Julia Elizabeth (Echols) and Charles Percy Carter, Jr.

Carol attended Sweeny High School. Also, enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, going to the beach with her girlfriends, and looking at wildflowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter (Danny) Daniel Hood, whom she married on July 29, 1972, daughter Tammie Hood, sisters Lisa French and Sue Richardson and brother David Carter.

Carol is survived by her sons Richard Hood and wife Angela of Gonzales, Tx and William Hood of Brazoria, Tx; sisters Lynn Marshall of Tenaha, Tx and Joyce Modisette and husband Bennie of Brazoria, Tx; brothers Charles Carter, III and wife Delia (Sissy) of Sargent, Tx, Willard Carter and wife Amy of Brenham, Tim Carter of Houston and Mike Carter of Sweeny, Tx; grandchildren Christopher Buck, Walter Hood, Richard B. Hood, Riley Hood, William Hood II, Bailey Hood, Pilar Hood, and Cassidy Hood; great grandchildren Kaylei Berry, Savannah Buck, Carter Casares, Kennedy Cesares and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning prior to the services.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home, in West Columbia, with Pastor John Price officiating. Interment will follow in Sweeny Cemetery.
