Carolyn Frankum

Carolyn Ann Frankum left us to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She was born on October 6, 1953 in Port Arthur, Texas to Bruce Broussard and Margie (Albers) Broussard. She worked for the Columbia Brazoria Independent School District in the Delivery Warehouse for 20 ½ years.

Carolyn (KK) was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to us and anyone who she touched in her lifetime. A funny, charismatic and gracious host who never once met a stranger and had a knack for making anyone she came into contact with feel like they were part of our family. She loved having company over at any time and was devoted to serving you with one of her famous home cooked meals with an extra helping of unforgettable hospitality. Nobody who has met Carolyn would forget the loving experience of getting to know her and would have been left with a lifelong friend.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February, 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM with B. F. Flowers and Pastor Brad DuBose officiating at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery in West Columbia. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, February 27, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM also at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Serving as Pallbearers will be Hank Frankum, Ben Frankum, Jr., Roy Frankum, Russell Broussard, Jay Potts and Chris Reese. Acting as Honorary Pallbearers are Joey and Roger Broussard.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Ben Frankum Sr., sons, Hank Frankum and wife, Sheri; Ben Frankum Jr. and wife, Lynn; Roy Frankum and wife, Becky; brothers, Joey Broussard and wife, Becky; Roger Broussard and wife Judi; sister, Rhonda Potts and husband, Jay along with seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Broussard and her best friend and Mother, Margie Broussard.
