Cheron Smith

Cheron Smith passed into the arms of the Lord suddenly on Thursday, May 4th in Damon, Texas.  She was born on January 22, 1952, in Bel Air, Maryland to the late Helen Mae Simmons.

Cheron is survived by her children, George T. Smith IV (Carrie Robertson) of Houston and Wendy Brown (David Mace) of Damon; and her grandchildren, George Thomas Smith 5th, Hayden Smith, Carissa Smith, Richard Tice II, Wayne Smith and Tahlissa Tice.  She is also survived by her great-grandson, Thomas James Martinez and her siblings, Michael Cornett and Donna Hullett.  Cheron is preceded in death by her husband, George T. ‘Smitty’ Smith III; her parents, Helen Mae (Simmons) Cornett and Edward ‘Eddie’ Clarence Dolan; and her siblings, David Simmons and Bonnie Morrison.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and life celebration ceremony on Monday, May 15th from 4:30 – 6:00 P.M. at the chapel of C.T. Baker & Son Funeral Home, 634 S. Columbia Dr., West Columbia, Texas 77486.  Cheron will be interred at a later date with her husband Smitty at the Houston National Cemetery.
