David Bruce Anderson of Brazoria, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born on July 16, 1959, in Oakland, California, to Gary Anderson and Jacqueline Morgan. Though born in California, David often said he “moved to Texas as fast as he could,” a sentiment that reflected his deep love for his adopted home.
David was a devoted husband to Melinda and a loving father to Christian; Garry and his wife, Bailee; and James and his fiancée, Alannis. He cherished his grandchildren—both blood and bonus—including Kaylie, Emilie, Kaleb, Emma, Lilli, and Kati. He is also survived by his sister, Denise Blackmon, and his brother, James Anderson.
For over 35 years, David was a dedicated employee at STP. His coworkers knew him not only for his strong work ethic but also for his kind heart and playful sense of humor. He was also known for his many “outage themed” T-shirts that he designed.
A man of deep faith, David served in numerous ministries throughout his life. He was actively involved in jail ministry, taught Bible classes, and supported his pastors in any way he could—always with a smile. He played the drums in worship bands and found particular joy in serving at the Food Pantry at Iglesia Centro Cristano.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Iglesia Centro Cristano, 114 S Columbia Dr., West Columbia, TX 77486. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Food Pantry at Iglesia Centro Cristano—a cause that held a special place in David’s heart.
David’s legacy of service, faith, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he touched.
