David Baker
August 21, 1958 — March 23, 2021
David M. "Bogey" Baker passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. He was born on August 21, 1958 in Bay City, Texas to Clifton and Mary Baker. David is a graduate of Columbia High School and after graduation, he served in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1982, until he was honorably discharged. David worked as a mortician at his family's funeral home in West Columbia, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Theron Baker and Mary Alice (Rose) Baker; brothers,James (Bo) Baker, Phillip Alan Baker, and Clifton Lynn (Luther) Baker; and brother-in-law, Bill Shirk.
He is survived by his children, David Baker, Derek Baker, and Caleb Baker; sister, Jeanette Patricia (Pat) Shirk, and brothers, William F. (Billy) Baker & wife Joy and Richard Lee (Ricky) Baker.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas at 1pm. A graveside service will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest cemetery in West Columbia, Texas at 2pm with pastor Ernie Hutchings officiating.
