We joyfully remember our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and man of God , who brought laughter and wisdom into our lives Born on October 16,1946, he lived a vibrant life filled with humor, creativity, and kindness. David had a knack for making everyone smile with his quick wit and clever jokes. His laughter was contagious, and he had an incredible ability to brighten any room.

Beyond his humor, he was a source of invaluable advice, always ready to lend a listening ear and share his insights. His passion for tinkering was evident in his beloved workshop, where he spent countless hours crafting and creating. Whether he was fixing things or building something new, he approached every project with enthusiasm and curiosity, inspiring those around him to embrace their own creativity. He worked all over Texas estimating and making friendships with everyone he met.

He is preceded in death by mother Priciscilla Irene Cobb, father David Carpenter, sisters Ella Louise, Agnes, Lilly, son Jim, great grandchild Jaelie and he is survived by wife Joni and daughter Danette, sisters Fern, Nancy, and Jane and grandchildren Charlotte, Amberlie, Randy, Danielle, Jeremy, Clint, as well as 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers who cherish the memories of the moments shared, the lessons learned, and the laughter enjoyed.

We invite everyone to join us in celebrating his life on September 15, 2025. The viewing will be at1 pm, at Sweeny Cemetery 1607 N Main St, Sweeny, Texas 77480. The funeral service starts at 2pm. Let's share stories, laughter, and the joy he brought into our lives.
