Deborah Rasco

April 20, 1955 — October 16, 2017

Deborah Lynn Greenberg Rasco passed from this life to her Heavenly home and was greeted by her parents, Jack and Phyllis; grandparents, Boo and Charles Hendrix, Harriett and Ike Greenberg and her mother-in-law Pat Rasco. She was born in Brazoria, Texas on April 20, 1955 and grew up in Lake Jackson. She attended Brazoswood High School where she enjoyed being a cheerleader and graduated with the class of "73. Debbie married the love of her life, Gil Rasco, on June 7, 1974. They built their dream house on the San Bernard River. Debbie was a dedicated and passionate nurse at Brazosport Memorial Hospital where she won the hearts of not only her patients, but many of the doctors and nurses. She especially enjoyed hunting and skiing with her husband. Debbie was an accomplished artist and loved horses.
Debbie enjoyed her nursing career until her tragic accident on July 7, 1985 when she was hit by a drunk driver which left her quadriplegic.

Debbie was a mighty prayer warrior for her friends and family and anyone else who was in need of prayer. It seemed like she had a direct line to her Heavenly Father.
It brought her great joy each year when the First United Methodist Church choir of Brazoria would come and sing to her for her birthday. Debbie also loved it when friends and family would come over and challenge her to a game of Aggravation. She was fondly known as the reigning Queen of Aggravation and we often told her, the most aggravating queen we know, which gave her great delight!

Debbie is survived by her husband of 43 years; sisters Kathy Goolsby (Kenneth), Gail Rogers (Richard) and Lisa Goolsby (Jason) and her brother Johnny (Gail). Nieces and nephews Wade Aucoin (Kendra), Molly Rogers (Kevin), Ken Goolsby (Rachel), Kelly Rogers, Stacey Hadsock (Larry), Chris Rogers, Lauren Crew (Ryan), Rhett Goolsby, Gretchen Russell (Mike), Charlie Greenberg (Kim) and Rachel Miksch (Brad), great nieces and nephews Maci and Tori Aucoin, Kate and Jack Rogers, Alex and Savannah Goolsby, Cadence and Graham Hadsock, Jackson, Lincoln, Reagan and Tyler Crew, Grant and Walker Russell, Hagen, Amery and Hadley Greenberg, Abigail, Drew and Leah Miksch. Rasco (Betty); brothers-in-law, Dyke Rasco (Susan) and Cris Rasco, nieces and nephews, Lindsey Parr (Brook) Dustin Rasco (Heather) and Josh and Cotton Rasco, great nieces and nephews, Holden and Kinley Parr and Dixon Rasco.
