Deloy (Dee) Ellingson

On Friday, February 19, 2021, Deloy (Dee) Noel Ellingson of Brazoria, devoted husband and loving father, went home to Jesus at the age of 82 surrounded by his family at Sweeny Hospital.

Dee was born on December 26, 1938 in New Folden Minnesota. Dee was the 7th child of 10 to Arthur and Alice Ellingson. Dee graduation in 1957, it was then he headed to Texas where he would reside till his death.  On January 7, 1971 he married Aloa (Lola) Tarrell, they raised two children, Roger Ray Ellingson and Yolanda Rose Beech.

Dee was a structural fitter/welder by trade.  He taught many over the years a trade he loved. He was an avid county/gospel music lover.  He retired from Brazos pipe and Steel in 2013.  He was known for his quick wit, love for home and family, miniature horses, his kind and compassionate spirit and simple things in life like a beautiful sunny day, grazing cow and green grass to mow.

Dee is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lola Ellingson, son Roger Ray Ellingson and wife Carolyn (Ann), daughter Yolanda Rose Beech and husband Cody.  Grandchildren, Shelena Cardwell (Ron), Derek Lacaze (Mandy), Kaylee Harman (Joseph), Shauna Ellingson (Josh), Seth Ellingson and Raygen Beech.  Great Grandchildren Nickolus, Payton, Amberlee and Mckenley Cardwell, Kaiden and Kenton Somer Madelyn, Abigail Scott and Kohen Tyler Harman, Brothers Charles (Lila) and Gordon Ellingson (Phyllis), Sisters Arlene Jensen (Charles) and Sharon Cox (Ken); Sisters-n laws Audrey Larsen, and Louise Ellingson along with many nieces and nephews.

Dee is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Alice Ellingson, sisters Phyllis Thrane, Marilyn Matusek, brothers Duane, Morgan, Richard Ellingson, infant brother Donald Ellingson, infant daughter Carol Ellingson and Grandson Skylar Ray Ellingson

Celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas with Pastor Ernie Hutchings officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to St. Johns Masonic Lodge in West Columbia or Lions Club in Brazoria.
