Diane K. Benge

Diane K. Benge passed into the arms of the Lord on September 14, 2023 in her Brazoria home.  She was 68.  She was born on February 6, 1955 in Freeport, TX to the late Melba Jean Tuggle Kelley & Emmitt Louis Kelley.Diane grew up in Brazoria county, and met and married the love of her life here.  She married Terry Benge on November 8, 1975, at the Brazoria Methodist Church.  They spent 47 years happily married.  Together, they had a love of pets.  At the time of her death they had 10 dogs that they were caring for, however Diane’s favorite was Pee-Wee and her Parrot Baby!  Iane’s family will fondly remember her for her love of fishing.  Her and Terry would go fishing as much as they were able to.  The other things that brought true joy to Diane were her beloved Astro’s, cheering on the Dallas Cowboy’s, trying her luck at the casino and bowling.  She enjoyed attending bowling tournaments when she could.Diane is survived by her husband Terry Benge of Brazoris, her brothers Mark Kelley and his wife Susan of West Columbia, David Kelley his wife Terri of West Columbia,  her loving nieces and nephews Amanda Cloudt, Eddie Kelley, Cindy Kelley, Brian Kelley, Randy Kelley, Kayla Scott, Jonna Cain & Jaime Benge.  She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews Ema Sue Cloudt, Ollie Joe Cloudt, Archie Lynn Cloudt, Ashleyn Kelley, Trey Kelley and Ty Kelley.Relatives, friends and all of Diane’s Facebook friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday September 19^th from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at C. T. Baker Funeral Home 118 W. Texas Ave.  Brazoria, TX.  Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.   Interment to follow at Brazoria Cemetery.
