Dianna Holton

Dianna Dolores Holton, 66 of Van Vleck, passed away from this life on Monday, May 14, 2018 in Houston, Texas. She was born on October 22, 1951 in Bay City, Texas to Roy and Sybel (Bishop) Davis. Dianna married the love of her life, Harold Holton on May 19, 1972. She passed just five days short of their 46th wedding anniversary. She enjoyed teaching and taught for 23 years at New Gulf Elementary. Dianna was the kindest soul you could meet. She loved her family above all others, but had an unconditional love for all animals. Over the years she spent her time with family, traveling to rodeos, saving animals, and her most cherished time was that spent with her grandsons, who loved their DD. Dianna loved traveling with her husband and their traveling partners, Karen and Tony Poss.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Coastal Plains Cowboy Church with Jimbo Warren and Matt Springfield officiating.

Dianna is survived by her loving husband, Harold Holton; daughter, Sara Holton Schmitt and husband, Nick; son, John Holton and wife, Kristin; grandsons, Tyler Schmitt and Camdon Holton; sister, Karen Poss; brother, Michael Spencer and wife, Ginny; step-brother, David Spencer; brothers-in-law, Gayle Holton and wife, Sue, and Steve Holton; niece, Jolynn Woods and husband, Clint; nephews, Michael Hopkins and wife, Tara, Kade Spencer and wife, Stacey, and Kyle and Chris Holton; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Davis; mother, Sybel Spencer and step-father, Ed Spencer; niece, Sandra Spencer Hogg and husband, Bryan; brothers-in-law, Johnny Hopkins and Tony Poss; and great-nephew, Blake Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dianna's name to any animal charity of your choice.
