On January 21, 2026 in Sweeny, Texas Domingo Garza peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 8, 1951 in Bay City, Texas to his parents Albert Garza and Maria Mendez Garza.

Domingo was a lover of life. His infectious smile and his warm personality with his trustworthy nature drew people to him from all walks of life. His kind and gentle spirit will always be remembered in the hearts of those that loved him. His favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed music, motorcycles and working on cars. In his later years he was known for his ability to repair small engines. His passion for the craft of mechanics afforded him to meet many acquaintances which equated to friends over time. He will be missed.

Domingo was preceded in death by his siblings, Lupe Garza Overton; Geronimo (Jerry) Garza; Albert Garza, Jr. and Paul Garza

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Kathryn Ann Griffin, and husband Dan of San Antonio TX; Arthur James Garza, and wife Jennifer of Ault, Colorado; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers, Roy Garza and wife Lois, of Longview TX.; Joe Garza of Sweeny; Felix Garza and wife Claudia, of Sweeny and sister Mary Garza Arredondo of California as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
