Donna Halfmann

November 9, 1952 — July 21, 2021

Donna Halfmann, 68, of West Columbia passed away on Wednesday, July 21 in Sweeny.  Donna was born November 9, 1952, to Harrold and Sue Swift in Freeport, TX.  She attended Brazoswood High School, where she was a member of the first graduating class.

Donna married right out of high school and had 2 children, Kandy Shaw and Lee Christian.  She later met the love of her life Daniel Halfmann and was married on July 4, 1991, and gained three more children, Cody Halfmann, Ernie Halfmann and Danielle Halfmann.

Donna loved the beach and she tried to go every chance she got, be it summer or winter time.  She loved to have her toes in the sand and the peace it gave her was immeasurable.  She also loved to mow the yard, as Daniel can attest, she could also tear a lawn mower up quicker than anyone.  She very much loved to be outside whether it be picking up pecans or burning limbs or just enjoying the outdoors in her swing.  Donna also had a love of animals; she would have had a hundred if she could have.  She also was an avid crocheter (until her hands could not do it anymore) and liked to read as many books as she could.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Harrold and Sue Swift.

Donna is survived by her husband Daniel Halfmann; daughters Kandy Shaw and husband Ken, of Pledger and Danielle Halfmann, of Rosenberg; sons Lee Christian and wife Wendy, of Van, Cody Halfmann and wife Cici, of Sweeny and Ernie Halfmann and wife Haley, of Brazoria; sister Tina Robinson and husband Mike; brothers Harrold Swift and wife Brenda and Bruce Swift and wife Lisa; 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
