Donna Jeanette Nelson, 89, of West Columbia passed into the arms of the Lord on November 10, 2023. She was born on July 20, 1934, in King City, California to Phillip Bianchi and Mayme Smith.
Jeanette went on to become a respected accounting clerk for the oil and gas industry for many years. Outside of work, Jeanette had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests. She was an avid fan of the Houston Astros baseball team and rarely missed a radio broadcast. Travelling was another passion of hers, as she loved exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. Jeanette’s love for Asian food led her to discover various culinary delights. She also had a fondness for eating out and trying new restaurants. In addition to these interests, Jeanette found solace in knitting and sewing, creating beautiful and timeless art.
While she accomplished much professionally and pursued many hobbies, Jeanette considered her faith, family and friends to be the center of her world. She adored spending time with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that would be cherished forever. Jeanette’s warm heart and nurturing way made everyone around her feel loved and valued. Another passion Jeanette had was volunteering at West Brazos Cares Food Pantry for several years, creating bonds deep within the community.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents Phillip Bianchi and Mayme Smith, her grandson John Robert Nelson, and her brother Keith Bianchi. She is survived by her children Michael L. Nelson (Martha) of Sweeny, Rodney L. Nelson (Cynthia) of Columbiana, AL, Robin Ann Nelson of West Columbia, Phillip J.
