Dora Ann Turk Picha reached her final home on September 20, 2025 at her home in Brazoria surrounded by her loving family, she was 94. She was born on August 11, 1931 to the late Gus and Beatrice 'Dolly' Turk in Houston, TX.
Dora Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Alvin E. Picha as well as their beloved daughter Debra Lynn Picha & her sister Eunice M. Hagen. Dora is survived by her sisters Martha Gaas Almiria Russell, Faye Kirkpatrick and her husband Bill, Bell Jowell, Brenda Thorton and her husband Tom (Butch) and many neices, nephews, relatives and friends.
Dora was a member of the graduate Columbia High School, West Columbia, Class of 1949. Dora Ann started working at a young age. Her first job was at Stanger's grocery store in Brazoria. Afterwards, she took a job at Wright's Chevrolet in West Columbia, working as a bookkeeper. Her final position was at Brazosport Community Hospital where she retired after 25 years of bookkeeping She was also a long time parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brazoria. But the best job she ever had and the one she was most proud of, was that of raising her family. Dora always enjoyed her family as a homemaker and mother. She was also an excellent seamstress.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday September 22nd from 5-7 pm (Rosary at 6:30pm) at St. Joseph Catholic Church 219 County Rd 762, Brazoria, TX 77422, Her funeral mass will be held on Tuesday September 23rd at the church at 10am with Rev. Tin Pham officiating. Interment to follow at Brazoria Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Bubba Hagen, Jody Tielke, Chase Whitt, Casey Hodges, Jacob Brigance, Josh Tielke & Toby Kirkpatrick. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Kirkpatrick, Scott Whitt & Butch Thorton.

Her family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of IPH Hospice as well as her continual caregivers for their love and support ensuring Dora was comfortable during her transition to the Lord.
