Dorothy Mejorado

Dorothy Mansel Mejorado, 93, longtime West Columbia resident passed away in Houston on July 15, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was born in West Columbia on Feb. 24, 1922 to James Henry & Lillie Marie Philips. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alonzo Mejorado of West Columbia; daughters, Shirley Mansel Drummond of New Braunfels, Kathryn Mansel Rose of Damon, & Marika Eterovic of Croatia; grandchildren, Teri Lee Elliott & husband, David, Llan Allen, Lisa Allen & husband, Scott, & Gordon Liles; 11 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren; & numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Johnnie Mansel; son, Kelly Mansel; her parents, James Henry & Lillie Marie Philips; brother, Lee Roy Philips, & sister, Lena Dement. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:00 am at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Pastor Ryan Lintelman officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time. Pallbearers are Justin Elliott, Craig Elliott, Kurt Silvio, Kenny Silvio, Joey Dodds, & Bud Whileyman. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels.
