Duane George Henderson was born to Hester Mae Henderson Goodwin and Austin Henderson Sr in 1953 at Alvin Hospital in Alvin, Texas.

Duane was raised in Bailey's Prairie, Texas and attended Angleton High School, where he graduated in 1971. While in school, Duane was part of the FFA and participated in rodeo competitions. At age 18, Duane enlisted in the United States Armey where he served his country for four years.

After the military, Duane owned a painting and body shop, drove wrecker trucks, and eventually obtained his CDL. Duane drove trucks nationwide for over 40 years before retiring at Air Liquide' in La Porte, Texas.

Duane enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was a jack of all trades.

As years passed, Duane began to strengthen his walk with God. He joined Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, January of 2011. He became deacon and joined the choir. Duane served the church for over 15 years and was known as a prayer warrior for the entire church family.

Duane is survived in death by daughters, Tiffany Jackson & LaRisha Purvis; 4 grandchildren, Archilles Purvis, Ta'Keria Beridon, Marquet Beridon, Christopher Beridon, son-in-love Shaun Jackson, bonus daughter, Draughn Emerson, and many other friends, family, and loved ones.

Preceded in death are his parents, Austin Henderson Sr and Hester Mae Henderson Goodwin, and one brother, Austin Henderson Jr.
