Edmund Earl Trafton was born April 11, 1946, to Ivan Trafton and Clara Lucille Mills. He left this world with his wife of 38 years, Cheryl Giesie Trafton by his side. Edmund was an incredible father and grandfather and will be loved and cherished by his sons, Chris Trafton of Tucson, Arizona; Cody Thomas of Brazoria, Texas. Granddaughter, Caiah of Tucson, Arizona and grandson, Jensen Earl Thomas (Trafton) of Brazoria, Texas.
Edmund was met at the gates of heaven by his daughter, Ann Trafton Felts. He missed her every day he lived without her on this earth. He was also welcomed by his mother Lucy Plagens and his stepfather, Raymond Plagens, as well as his two sisters, Earline Lundy and Bea Huffman, Mother in-law, Velma Giesie and father in-law, Felix Giesie as well as many other family and friends he met in his 79 years of life.
Ed loved to laugh and make others laugh. He also loved to be with his loved ones, family and friends. Ed never met a stranger and soon made them dear friends. He had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, barbequing and diving. Ed also loved traveling and traveled to many places around the world and here at home.
Ed began his adulthood as a member of the U.S. Air Force where he bravely fought in Vietnam. He then began working as a volunteer and paid firefighter in Eulice, Texas. His firefighting abilities took him to many places, including Saudi Arabia where he worked 18 years. His work included building a firefighting training field for the Sadia Arabia Government, training several firefighters, putting out many fires. He also put out fires during the Gulf War that well known American Firefighters would not touch. Before retiring Ed traveled to many fire stations across the state of Texas, sharing his knowledge. His legacy will live on through his contributions to the firefighting community.

Everyone is encouraged to tell funny stories and memories of Ed as part of the service. After all, that was Ed's way of enjoying life.
Ed enjoyed being with family and friends, making sure they all had something to eat and drink. A meal will be provided at the home of Judi and Danny Downing at 104 W. Burnett St. Brazoria following the service. All in attendance are invited.
