Elizabeth Gail (Grosse) Hopkins

Elizabeth Hopkins 69 passed away Monday, June 28, 2025 in Angleton TX. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday July 14th, 2025 at C. T. Baker and Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia TX. In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials in Elizabeth's memory to the Order of the Eastern Star Girls Scholarship Fund.

Elizabeth grew up all over the world and finally ended up graduating from Ramona High School in Ramona CA Elizabeth went to work for Southern California Edison at San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant where she met her husband Mark. They ended up moving to Saint Louis, Missouri where Elizabeth went to work for Edward Jones. When they moved to West Columbia, Texas she transferred to the office here. Liz quickly made friends in the office and amongst the clientele. She soon drops by people in the morning for a coffee clutch.

She was a faithful member of Saint Luke's Lutheran Church in Sweeney Texas. Her family and God were the center of her life. Elizabeth enjoyed listening to country music, Starbucks and one of her favorite activities was playing with her grandchildren . Elizabeth was known for her determination and devotion to the service of others over the years.

Elizabeth has touched many lives, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father George and her brother Mark. She is survived by her husband mark, Daughter Samantha and three grandchildren, her mother June, brother Mike, and her sister Kathryn.

In closing we would like to share a tribute that her brother Michael Gross wrote for her to my loving sister Elizabeth Gale Hopkins. What does it take to say something about someone who's always touched the hearts and souls of those who met and knew her. Like an Angel she always gave love and caring to every one of her family and friends. Although misunderstood at times that care, wisdom, and love built an easy everlasting memory that people will always look back and reflect on for a very long time. With love, your brother Michael.
