Elsie Mae Wallace, 99, of Brazoria, TX passed away peacefully on March 16, 2022, in Angleton, TX.  Elsie Mae was born on July 26, 1922, in Matagorda County to Robert & Emma Powell Walden.  She attended Columbia High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brazoria.  Elsie Mae married Howard Wallace on November 14, 1940.  They settled in Brazoria, TX to raise their family.

Elsie Mae played softball for Columbia High School.  She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, working elections, cooking, and giving garage sales.  She loved spending time with her family.  Elsie Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt.  She was known as Nanny Wallace or Aunt Elsie to most people.

Elsie Mae was proceeded in death by her parents: Robert & Emma Powell Walden; husband: Howard Wallace; sons: Charles, Holland, and Melvin; grandchild: Dana Carol Wallace; siblings: Luther Walden, Clayton Walden, Pearl Florence, Vivian Guinn, Alfred (Buddy) Walden, Lorene Anderson, Hazel Carrington, Lilly Guinn, Bill Walden, and Sam Walden.

Survivors include grandchildren: Kevin Wallace and wife Tracy, Brian Wallace and wife Elizabeth, Howie Wallace; great grandchildren: Travis Griffin, Kelly Curtis, Sydney Wallace, Brandon Wallace, Sara Wallace, Ethan Wallace; great-great grandchildren: Kayson Griffin and Jhett Curtis.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The First Baptist Church in Brazoria.

Special thank you to Debbie Ford and Ricky Swango for always being there for Elsie Mae.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in Brazoria, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Brazoria Cemetery.
