Glen Lee Skinner, 72, of Brazoria, Texas, passed away on April 29, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Freeport, Texas, on September 28, 1953, to William and Dicey Skinner, and attended Brazosport High School, graduating in 1972.
Glen married his wife, Dana, in 1980, and together they built a loving family with their daughter Kelley, later welcoming another daughter and two sons.
Glen is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dana; their daughter Kelley and her wife, Debbie, of Liberty Hill; Michelle Gonzalez and her husband, Luis, of Brazoria; and sons Jerred and Mason Skinner of Brazoria. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jordan, Gabriel, Malakai, and Addison; and great-grandchildren Brylie, Ariyana, and Leo.
He is further survived by his sisters-in-law Charlotte Skinner of Sweeny and Donna Gooch of Hemphill, Texas; and brothers-in-law James Hassell of Alto, Texas, and Mike Hassell of Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Peggy Taylor of Freeport; his brother, William “Billy” Skinner of Shady Acres; his mother-in-law, Leota Jinkins of Hemphill; his father-in-law, James P. Hassell of Angleton; and his brother-in-law, Tommy Gooch of Hemphill, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Shady Acres on Saturday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m.
