Harlee Mcelveen

Harlee Lynn McElveen, 18, of Damon,Texas was born September 25, 2000 in Wharton, Texas to Mark and Traci McElveen. She unexpectedly left this earth on March 10, 2019 in Sweeny,Texas.

Harlee Lynn went by many names, her dad called her Spanky, Uncle Sambo called her Pooh Bear, and her beloved nephews and nieces called her Yah-yay.
Harlee was a Senior at Columbia High School. After graduating she planned on attending Brazosport College to become a veterinarian. She loved any and all animals and wanted to continue to work and be around them. Harlee had many hobbies and things she loved, such as hunting, fishing, feeding and checking cows, singing, spending time with her family and friends, but most of all riding her horse Patches. You would always see her and Patches up and down the roads in town or running barrels that are always kept set up next to the house.

Harlee leaves to cherish her everlasting memory to her parents, Mark and Traci McElveen of Damon; sisters, Haley Shillingburg (Bobby Barnett) of Damon, and Maygan McElveen (Mackenzie Rhodes) of Lake Jackson; grandparents, Lorrin and Sue Batchelor of Damon, Texas; nephews and nieces, Brice Perez, Knox Perez, Kacen Barnett, Rylie Barnett, Jordyn Barnett, Skyler Barnett, & Ryleigh Rhodes; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Harlee will be welcomed at the Pearly Gates of Heaven by her horse Dynomite, Uncle Sambo, grandparents, great grandparents, cousins uncles, aunts, and friends who have passed on before her.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2Pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Darrin George officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Mark McElveen, Brent Batchelor, Darrin Batchelor, Ty Batchelor, Tanner Batchelor, and Mason Batchelor. Honorary pallbearers are Lane Batchelor and Brennan Batchelor.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the SPCA in Lake Jackson, Texas.
