Jack Bush

Jack Alan Bush of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away at age 83 on July 4, 2022, at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Lake Jackson due to complications from cancer. Jack was born March 2, 1939, to Jack and Edna Bush, and later adopted by James C. McCluer on his marriage to Edna.

Jack attended Olney High School prior to joining the U.S. Army, where he served as a Technical Specialist 4 Russian translator.

He raised four children with his wife, Karolee Bush, in Sweeny, Texas before moving to Lake Jackson.

Jack never lost his love of learning, earning his Associate’s Degree in his early 50’s and continuing his education on his own for the rest of his life.

Jack is survived by sons Don and Jim, daughter Cindy, granddaughters Allyssa and Reva, and two great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by Karolee, their son Robert, and their grandson Quincy.

There will be a small family service for Jack on July 8, 2022, at C.T. Baker & sons Funeral Home, in West Columbia, TX. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
