James Hornbostel

James "Roy" Hornbostel, 76, of Brazoria passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.

Roy was born on December 27, 1940 to Alvin and Margaret Hornbostel. He worked as a carpenter for his entire career and retired from US Contractors in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, riding his motorcycle and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Judy Hornbostel; and his son, Ron Gibbens.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Anne Hornbostel; daughter, Darla Heeringa and her husband, Terry of Nashville, TN; daughter-in-law, Kazuko Gibbens of Santa Fe, TX; granddaughters, Emily and Rachel Heeringa of Waco, TX and Eva Gibbens of Santa Fe, TX; and brother, Charles Hornbostel of La Rose, LA.

The family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, 634 S. Columbia Dr. 77486 from 10:00am until 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or Charity of Choice.
