James Stewart

James Phillip Stewart, 57, of West Columbia, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Dorothy Stewart, grandparents James and Maxine Stewart and George and Martha Rab.

Jimmy graduated from Columbia High School class of 1984 and then continued his education at ITT Technical Institute in the electronics field.  He later enlisted in the Navy continuing studies in that same field where he served for 8 years.  After the Navy, he returned home and worked at several different companies as an electronics technician.

He is survived by his brother Lee Stewart and wife Pam and their children Ben, Phillip and Ian; aunt and uncle Charley and Kathy Scott and their children Blake, Jason and wife Autumn and their children Camdyn, Finn and Ciaran; aunts and uncles Barbara Rab, Sonny and Nancy Pieper, Mike and Donna Rab, Charles and Jackie Rab; numerous cousins and best friend Raymond Merritt.

Pallbearers will be Lee Stewart, Ben Stewart, Phillip Stewart, Ian Stewart, Jason Scott and Blake Scott with honorary pallbearer Raymond Merritt.  Jimmy will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 1:30pm at the Veterans National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
