Jane Pate

Jane Ellen Pate, age 70, of Sweeny, passed from life on earth to heaven on Feb 2, 2022. Jane was born on January 10, 1952 to Granville and Lois Hastings in Abilene, Texas.

Jane truly loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and always supported them in their interests and activities. She was blessed with many friends that became family.

Jane is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years Gary Pate; her parents, and in-laws Ernest and Frankie Pate. Surviving family members include children: Kristie Lavender, Leeanne Bible(Jerry), and Kenneth Pate (Jessica), grandchildren: Joey Lavender (Hope), Kailee Bible, Lacey Lavender, and Faith Pate and 2 great grandchildren. Sister: Molly Summa, Brothers: Dick and Gary Hastings.

Celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Sweeny, with Pastor Quinn Peters officiating.
