Jeffrey Frankum

January 4, 1969 — August 26, 2021

Brazoria

Jeffrey Dean Frankum, of Wild Peach, Brazoria, Tx, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the age of 52 years. He was born in Freeport, TX on January 4, 1969, to Dalton Dean Frankum and the late Vivian Marie Kirkpatrick Frankum.

He graduated from Columbia High School in 1987. He went to work at Dow, Poly3, at nineteen years old, and has been a faithful employee for 33 years. One of the highlights of his job was going to Thailand in 1996 for commissioning and startup of one of Dow’s new polyethylene plants.

Jeff was a fun-loving little boy who loved playing with his two sisters and all his many cousins. Their childhood camaraderie developed into a lifelong bond, not only of kinship, but also of friendship among them.

His fun-loving spirit remained with him throughout his lifetime. He loved making memories with his family and friends. He enjoyed planning the best vacations and fishing trips with his family. He was known to be a patient fisherman.

He and his wife, Ginia, looked forward to their annual trips to Fredericksburg. They also enjoyed the yearly summer trips to the Frio with their best friends, Charlie and Darlene Stewart, and Holly and Chris Blaschke.

Jeff had an instant smile for just about everyone, and his face was radiant with joy when he was with his grandchildren. His devotion to his children and grandchildren was quite evident to all who knew him.

The name Jeffrey means divinely peaceful. And he was! He was kindhearted, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, at any time, in any area of need.

He was funny and multi-talented. One of the characteristics of his name is creative. And he was! He spent about three months designing Ginia’s wedding ring.  Whatever he did, it was with integrity, excellence, and patience, ranging from cooking, to transforming plain wood into works of art, remodeling homes, and everything in between.

Jeff was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  Jeff will be greatly missed but will be cherished and remembered for his legacy of love he leaves behind.

Jeff was a member of Wild Peach Baptist Church.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Ginia Morris Frankum; sons Chase Frankum, Chance Frankum(Barbara), and Noah Wyman,; one grandson, Jeyson Dean Frankum, one granddaughter, Ryder Frankum; his father and wife, Dean and Charlene Frankum; two sisters, Twyla Chenault, and Susan(Eddie) Hackett; several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces and a great-great-nephew; his father and mother in law, Marlin and Beckie Morris, his sister and brother-in-law Marla and Chris Baty; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Kirkpatrick Frankum, both his maternal and paternal grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ginia and the family wish to express their gratitude and appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Sweeny Hospital for their excellent care and compassion for Jeff.
