Jeffrey Olivan

January 2, 1957 — December 24, 2022

Damon

Jeffrey Alan Olivan, a resident of Damon, Texas went to his eternal rest on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the age of 65.

Jeff (an only child), as he was known to family and friends, was born in Lyons, Kansas on January 2, 1957, to the late Pierre Olivan and Peggy Louise McNalley.

He was a husband on a mission to love and care for his wife, Evangelina “Vita” of nine years.  He was also a loving friend to so many.

Jeff, a faithful disciple, loved attending church at Creekside Christian Fellowship Church.  He dedicated his time in living a life of service whenever he was able.  There was nothing he would not do to help when needed.

Jeff was employed by Blackhawk Transport and worked many years as an electrician as well.  He was a man of hard work and dedication.

Though born in Kansas, he was raised in Denver, Colorado; hence his being an avid Broncos fan.  His love for sports was greatly displayed during football and baseball season, where one would find him in front of the television without a doubt.

Jeff was a man of great wisdom and an enjoyable conversationist and a great debater.  He enjoyed listening to music and sharing interesting stories of his travels as a truck driver as well as family or life…even if he had shared them several times before.  It was a true joy for him to spend those special moments with his newfound family as well as friends.

Jeff will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind memories and to cherish them are his wife, Vita; children through marriage, Michael Almendarez (Cynthia), Sonia Almendarez, and Victor Almendarez (Angela).  Also saddened by his passing are cousin, Gail Hicks (Ernie) and his mother’s last surviving sibling, Pat Wolf (96) of Olathe, Kansas as well as 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A service in his memory will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Creekside Christian Fellowship Church in Needville, Texas.

Honorary Pallbearers are Glenn Hill, Rodney Rabren, Scott Jones, Taylor Glendening.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to those who have shared in the support of Mr. Olivan.  Also, in lieu of flowers, they ask if you are lead that a monetary donation in his honor be made to Creekside Christian Fellowship Church, 16628 Hwy. 36, Needville Tx.  77471.
