John Mimms

John Howard Mimms, 79, of Sherman, Texas passed from this life on Oct. 17, 2018 in Allen, Texas. John was born in Santa Monica, Calif. to Bethel E. & Dorothy Mimms on July 26, 1939.
John served in the U S Air Force from 1958 until 1964. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with John Price officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until service time on Monday.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy Stinnett Mimms; sons, John Mimms Jr. and Frank Mimms & wife, Janna; grandchildren, Megan & Tiffany Mimms and Nicole & Jessica Mimms; sister in law, Debbie Ford & husband, Luther; aunt, Opal Campbell; 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
