Johnny Wayne Autry, age 65, of West Columbia, TX, passed from this life on April 30th, 2026. Johnny is leaving behind a family and many friends, who loved him deeply, and will miss him dearly.
Johnny was born on December 30th, 1960, to father, Bert Lofford Autry, and mother, Opal Autry (McGlaun) as the youngest of five children in Brownsfield, Texas. Johnny was a kind, hard-working, and loving soul. He made a lasting impact on those who knew him. Whether through his many years of work in the oilfield as an explosive expert, owner of Ronnie’s Ice House, or in the way he showed up for his family and friends: he will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, and loyalty.
He is survived by his two sons, Holden Autry, Brandon Autry & wife Michelle, his sister Beverly Kyle, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bert, and Opal, brothers Charles, Jimmy, Douglas & his wife Betty, his nephew Christopher Autry, niece Sandra Moore Walsh, and beloved dog Roger.
Johnny found joy in his children, travels, golf, music, cooking, participating in benefits, motorcycles, friends, his community, and cold beer. Johnny was a part of so many beautiful lives, and those memories will be cherished by all who knew him. Johnny’s memorial service will be held at C.T Baker & Sons funeral home in West Columbia TX on May 30th, 2026, at 2:00 pm. 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia TX, 77566
