Jonathan Jones

Jonathan (Jonsey) (J.J.) Wayne Jones, 19, of West Columbia, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021. He was born in Lake Jackson, Texas on November 18, 2001, to Carole (Austin) and Darrell Wayne Jones.

Jonathan attended West Columbia High School and received awards from the Fire Department Tactics Academy and safe rescue. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brazoria, second generation fireman with West Columbia Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and helping people.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents Lee Austin, George Austin and grandmother Anita Jones, great uncle Carl Lampe and uncle Bob Austin.

He is survived by his parents Darrell and Carole Jones; grandfather Willard Jones; girlfriend Paige Vacek; birth mother Robyn; Aunt Janeil McCrury and Uncle James and Aunt Glynis Craig and Uncle Johnnie; cousins Big John, Hunter, Kayla, Chandler, and Mason.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021, in the Chapel of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home, in West Columbia.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Brazoria, with Pastor Greg Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members of the West Columbia Fire Department.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dawson and Koby Davis, Hunter Groze and Michael Purcell.
