Jose Ramirez

Jose Ramirez, 75, of Sweeny, Texas passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born July 1, 1946, in Rancho El Tecolote Municipio Jaral del Progreso, Guanajuato Mexico to the late J. Asuncion and Fidelia Ramirez.

Mr. Ramirez enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing slot machines at Coushatta. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He is survived by his wife Ma Carmen Ramirez; children Juan Jose Ramirez, Roberto Ramirez, Julio Ramirez, Nieves Ramirez, Leticia Jimenez, Maria Huerta, Miguel Ramirez, Cesar Ramirez, and Oscar Ramirez; 23 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 6 brothers and 2 sister.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones Wednesday, November 17, 2021, starting at 5:00 p.m. at The Ramirez home in Sweeny, Texas.

A Funeral Mass for Mr. Ramirez will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 310 N. McKinney St, Sweeny, TX 77480, with Father Preston Quintela, officiating. Interment will follow in Sweeny Cemetery.
