Juan Cruz

Heaven gained an angel today along with pieces of all of our hearts.  We know the heavens are rejoicing because you are there and you continue to watch over all of us with all your love and no pain.

Juan S. Cruz was born to Eluterio and Guadalupe Cruz on June 24, 1941 in Mercedes, Texas.  He passed away on September 13, 2022 in Damon, Texas surrounded by his loving family.  He was preceded in death by his parents and six of his siblings.

Juan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Josefa A. Cruz and his two children, Virginia Cruz Morris and her spouse Charles, and Juan Antonio Cruz and his spouse, Michelle.  He had 11 grandchildren:  Valarie Veit, Haley Miller, Lacy Tejada, Anthony Cruz, Jacob Puente, Toby Morris, Tommy Morris, Tiffany Morris, Cody Morris, Austin Oldham and Analisa Oldham; twenty-five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.  He is also survived by five sisters and one brother.

Juan was a devoted husband and father.  Family was the most important thing in his life followed by his passion for hunting.

At Juan’s request, there will be no service.
