Katherine Gillaspie

Katherine Jean Gillaspie, 82 of Sweeny, passed from this life Saturday, February 24, 2018. She was born on February 22, 1936 in Old Ocean, Texas to Paul and Wanda (Piosecky) Hanicek.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Yelderman Memorial Park in Damon, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.

Katherine is survived by her brother, Walter Hanicek and wife Gilda; sister, Rosalie Kelley; nephews, Jason Hanicek and Herbert B. Kelley; along with special caregivers, Dean and Margaret Wilke and Vanessa Estrada.

She is preceded in death by her parents and niece, Kathy Knight.
