Katherine Miller

Katherine Clardy Miller, age 80, of Brazoria, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 9, 2024.  She passed at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston with her loving husband, Norman Donald Miller Jr. “Red” of 62 years by her side.

Katherine was born May 5, 1943, to Jay and Eline Clardy in New Summerfield, Texas.

She was the youngest of five children.  After graduating New Summerfield High School, she met the love of her life “Red Miller.”   A few weeks after meeting they were married in Blackjack, Texas.  After marriage they moved and settled in Brazoria County, Texas.  They later welcomed two sons into this world.

Katherine was devoted to her family and was the strong, loving and steadfast matriarch of the Miller family.

Katherine is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her son Timothy Jay Miller, and grandson Robert Blake Miller.

She is survived by husband Norman Donald Miller JR. “Red”, her son Donald W. Miller, grandson Michael Miller (Stephany), granddaughters Macy and Hannah Miller, great granddaughters, Shelby Miller, Madison Albair, and Rylie Miller, great grandson Coy Miller, great great granddaughter Parker Groze and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held by C. T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home at 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia Texas 77486.  The visitation will be Monday April 15 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm and Interment to follow at Sweeny Cemetery.

Officiating over services will be Ernie Hutchings.

The pallbearers will be Jimmy Miller, Jerry Miller, Thomas Miller Jr. Randy Miller, Mike Ward Jr., and Clifford Cater.

Honorary pallbearers are Santiago Rodriguez Miller, Samuel Rodriguez, Thomas Miller Sr., Coy Miller, Dan Grounds, Christopher Miller and Kenneth Miller.
