Kemp Danford, Jr., 65 of Brazoria, passed away surrounded by his family Monday, June 26, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He was born on October 11, 1951 in Freeport, Texas to Kemp and Madge (Bear) Danford.
Kemp was a dedicated and hard worker all of his life. He was always smiling and joking, there was never a dull moment around him and he was easily considered the "Life of the Party." He was always having a good time and often winning at everything he played whether it was golf, pool, or washers. Kemp was the best friend, dad and grandfather anyone could ask for. He will be extremely missed by everyone whose path he crossed. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal."
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Floyd Scott officiating. A celebration of life will be on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the American Legion Hall in Brazoria starting at noon.
Kemp is survived by his wife, Terri Danford; children, Gina Danford, Bradley Danford, Ashley Danford; step children, Jonathan Stiles and wife, Kathy, Sheena Stiles, and Wayne Yielding and wife, Crystal; grandchildren, Caleb Danford, Cassidy Danford, Courtney Danford, Cole Danford, Kameron Danford, along with 10 step grandchildren; brother Don Danford and wife, Becky; sisters, Pam Richardson and husband, Ernest, and Barbara Crosson and husband, Jeff; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and step father, Carl Montgomery.
