Laury Maroul

Laury Ann Maroul, 60, of West Columbia, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at UTMB Hospice with her loving husband of 40 years at her side.

Laury was born to Ben and Ann Ferrell of West Columbia, TX on September 11, 1961. She attended West Columbia High School where e she met her husband, Mark. Mark and Laury married in June of 1981. Laury worked in the mortgage/loan business for 30 plus years. After that, she worked for West Brazos Junior High School as a life skills aid. She was also in the process of attending Brazosport College working on her bachelor’s degree to become a teacher.

Laury is preceded in death by her father, Ben Ferrell.

Her surviving family include, her mother Ann, husband Mark, 2 children, Amanda Maroul and Shawn Maroul (Leah), brother Alan Ferrell (Melany), 3 grandchildren Jamie Mikulec, Daxter Maroul and Lillie Maroul and a close cousin Pinky Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Laury was a member of the First Baptist Church West Columbia, where she taught Sunday School and Mission Friends when her children were small. She loved everything to do with the outdoors, especially, fishing. Her other hobbies included scrapbooking and sewing.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, in the Chapel pf C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia. Interment will follow in Cedar LAwn Haven of Rest.
