Leonardo Rodriguez, 86, of Sweeny, Texas was guided into the arms of the Lord on November 10, 2023. He was born on November 6, 1937, to Bruno Rodriguez and Aurora Rosalez in Goliad, Texas. 

Leonardo devoted his career to the world of construction. As a general contractor, he showcased his expertise and skill in the industry. His determination and commitment were greatly admired by his colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional achievements, Leonardo will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the joy he found in various pastimes. He had an immense adoration for fishing, dancing, and staying busy. 

One thing that truly made Leonardo who he was, was his unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys. A dedicated fan through thick and thin, he rejoiced in their victories and stood by them during challenging times. Leonardo's unwavering support for his beloved team became a part of his identity, earning him respect from friends and fellow enthusiasts.

Leonardo cherished personal milestones that shaped his life. He considered being married to the love of his life, Maria Conde, on June 2, 1967, as one of his proudest accomplishments. Throughout their journey together, Maria remained by Leonardo's side as a pillar of strength and unwavering support.

Leonardo is preceded in death by his parents Bruno Rodriguez and Aurora Rosalez, as well as his 3 brothers and 2 sisters, and granddaughter baby Rhonda Arana. He is survived by his spouse Maria Rodriguez of Sweeny, children Linda Coronado (Jose Delgado) of Sweeny, Mike Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Leonardo Rodriguez Jr. (Maria Antonia Chavez) of Rockport, and Lisa Hollingsworth (Robby) of Sweeny, 6 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Leonardo's graveside service on Saturday, December 9, in Gregory, Texas at 11:30 am.
