Lester Boyd Dupler, 74, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 30, 2019. Lester was born to Albert Hugh and Beatrice Mann Dupler on December 13, 1944, in Levelland, Texas.
At the age of 14, Lester met the love of his live, Linda Gay Key. He was a graduate of Morton High School. Later, in January of 1967, Lester married Linda. They were married for 52 years. They had one daughter, Amy Elizabeth Randolph in 1969. Lester graduated from Texas Tech University and later received a Master's of Education from University of Houston Clear Lake.
He coached all sports at Sweeny High School. He finished his career as principal at Sweeny Junior High in 1999. He retired just in time to help care for the light of his life, granddaughter Millinda Elizabeth Kucera.
He spent many years on the golf course. He found great joy in being a deacon and a part of the Men's Ministry at First Baptist Church Old Ocean (New Shores Baptist Church). He was also a part of Kairos Prison Ministry as well as Texas Port Ministry. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by wife, Linda, daughter, Amy, son-in-law Jerry Randolph, granddaughter Millinda and sister Elizabeth Smith (Dewayne Smith).
Funeral services will be at New Shores Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 3, at 10 am. Burial will be in Cherokee Cemetery with family only.
