Lester Allen Livanec, from Brazoria, Texas was born on November 6, 1945 in Freeport, Texas to Ladd and Katie Livanec. He went to be with our Lord on May 2, 2021 at the age of 75.
He retired from Dow Chemical after 30 plus years and finally took full retirement at the age of 70.
Lester attended school at St. Mary, Star of the Sea in Freeport and graduated from Columbia-Brazoria High School in West Columbia. After graduating
he served in the Texas National Guard for 3 years and received an honorable discharge.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and passed this passion to his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lester was always available to help with many fundraisers to help others by barbecuing or frying fish.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Chris Schaffer Livanec, son James Allen Cook (Janie), of West Columbia, Tx.; daughters Kelly Horn (Brian), of Normangee, Texas, Michelle Livanec, of Flynn Texas, Leslie Harris (Reggie), of Flynn, Texas, Katie Griffin (Jason), of West Columbia, Texas, Diana Berry, of Brazoria and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lad and Katie Livanec, son Richard Allen, granddaughter Kylee Harris, sister and brother in law Janette and Wayne Stuessel, and brother Gene Livanec.
A celebration for Lester Livanec will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home, 634 S. Columbia Dr, West Columbia Tx.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the services.
