Lila Richardson

Lila Ruth Richardson, 85 of Brazoria, Texas passed away at her home, Friday, September 8, 2017. She was born February 19, 1932 in Lott, Texas to Charles Osborn and Sisley (Ingram) Rogers. She attended the Wild Peach Community Church in Brazoria for over 50 years, worked at Autrey's Dairy Mart in Brazoria for over 18 years and then started a home child care.

Ruth is survived by sister-in-law, Billie Sue Whitaker; brother, Burton "Dub" Rogers; brother-in-law, Kenneth Ray Richardson and wife, Shirley; grandson, Michael Wayne Richardson along with numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband whom she married March 14, 1959 and lived in Brazoria for many years, John Marcus Richardson; son, Jimmy Doyle Richardson and her parents along with 13 of her brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held 11:00am, September 30, 2017 at The Wild Peach Community Church in Brazoria with Pastor Earl Breazeale officiating.

The family wishes to give a special Thank You to IPH Hospice for their loving care of Ruth during this time.

In lieu of flowers, Ruth requested memorials be made to the Wild Peach Community Church or the Wild Peach Volunteer Fire Department.
