Linda Kay Vest was born to Marvin Wayne Vest and Edrie Evelene McNew on March 1, 1947, Los Angeles, California. To join her an hour and 19 minutes later was her twin brother, Larry Ray Vest. They moved to Texas when they were 4 years old. Texas became their home. Linda enjoyed school at Meadow, Texas, Brownfield, Texas, Pecos, Texas, Denton, Texas and college at Tucson, AZ. Her passion being Music. Linda loved to crochet, her Mother taught her this hobby when she was 8 years old, she never put it down. Her joy was to give away her many Afghans.

In our grief, we have joy because Christ not only won the victory in Linda's heart but has also triumphed over all sickness and death on the cross and brought Linda everlasting life. We rejoice in hope, confident in Christ that we will be reunited with him in the light of God's presence.

Linda accepted Christ as her personal savior when she was 22 years old. Her sister-in-law Bonnie Brookey lead her to Christ. She followed in Baptism at the Church of Christ in Fort Stockton, Texas, 1969. Her joy was knowing she was going to Heaven, she often shared this with friends and neighbors.

Linda enjoyed life. She loved Music. Linda taught piano for 60+ years. Her joy was to hear a student play a tune with joy and enthusiasm. She retired from teaching after she married Woody Nall in 2000. Woody was her soulmate and her life became "all joy". They traveled to Alaska and Mexico. They loved Church, Music, singing, cooking and friends. It was a good life. They had a 2nd family in Mexico, Maria and her family were their best friends. After Woody passed away, Linda sold their home in Brazoria, Texas and relocated to a community of 55+ in Lake Jackson, Texas and made many friends there. She loved her neighbors and they loved her, too.

She leaves behind, for a short time, sons Pastor Chuck Brookey and daughter-in-love Stephanie of Clearwater, FL, Wayne Brookey of Parts Unknown, her twin brother Larry Ray Vest of Lake Stamford , Texas, Sister Judy Ann Emerson of Puerto Rico USA, Grandchildren Willy, Anna, Dustin and Roberta Kay Brookey, adopted Granddaughter, Amber Thompson and her Great Grandchildren, many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Her trusted friends, Demi More Love, Dawn Spencer, neighbors Debbie Brown and Sheila Martinez.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Jean Elam and many loved ones. She spoke often of seeing them all again "in the sweet by and by". There will be no service or memorial.
